Join Vancouver’s young queer and allied artists at our Festival Youth Gala. The evening includes a guided tour of the Pride In Art exhibition. The creativity continues with the premiere screening of the 2010 NO HATE Youth Films, films made at CampOUT and PSA competition winners. Next, there is time for everyone to shine at the Caffeinated Queers open-mic and cabaret, so bring your poems, your drag costume or any short live act you’d like to share. Your audience awaits! The party ends with dance tunes by DJ Jef Leppard.

Free! This is a 25 and under event.

NO HATE Youth Filmmaking Bootcamp
“Make a video, change the world” is the NO HATE motto. In July 2010, Out in Schools once again joined forces with Reel Youth to offer youth the opportunity to create their first digital film and to change the world—one video at a time. The NO HATE Filmmaking Bootcamp taught participants the basics to produce short films that speak to gender expression, queer identity and being an ally.

PSA Competition
We are proud to present the winners of our Anti-Homophobia Student Public Service Announcement Competition, presented in partnership with the Vancouver School Board. The winning PSAs are from: Clayton Heights Secondary, Surrey; Argyle Secondary School, North Vancouver; and Templeton Secondary, East Vancouver.
