Our queer history seen by international audiences!
Our second commissioned Queer History Project film Rex Vs Singh is had been seen by international audiences since its premiere at our 2008 Festival. This collaborative short film made by artists John Greyson, Richard Fung and Ali Kazimi centers on a 1915 trial in Vancouver where two Sikh mill-workers were entrapped by undercover police and charged with sodomy. Rex Vs Singh has been screened in San Paulo, Bombay , New York and London ; the film’s next stop is the Kashish Mumbai Queer Film Festival this April.
