Youth Outreach Coordinator

This is a twenty-six week contract starting as early as May 31.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate Out in Schools presentations in high schools
  • Coordinate youth filmmaking workshops, including workshop development and program administration
  • Coordinate and promote youth activities at the Vancouver Queer Film Festival
  • Collaborate with Director of Youth Education and Steering Group to research and develop a National LGBTQ Education & Awareness Week
  • Assist with volunteer coordination
  • Assist with outreach and fundraising events
  • Assist with OutinSchools.com web updates, as well as other social media updates
  • Assist with administrative support of Out in Schools program

Successful applicants will have, or obtain during the term:

  • Direct experience working with youth
  • Experience with educational workshop design
  • Community outreach and development skills
  • Project management skills
