PROJECTION 20: YOUTH EDUCATION

OUT IN SCHOOLS

Out in Schools is our new education program garnering critical acclaim. Launched in 2004, we bring independent queer films into BC high schools and talk with students about the issues that affect queer youth. Out in Schools aims to increase understanding through education to combat issues such as homophobia and bullying that threaten the safety of our classrooms for both queer and straight students. Last year we reached more than 2,200 students in over 40 presentations!

FIRSTOUT YOUNG FILMMAKERS

First OUT film workshops encourage and assist youth to create their first film. Since its inception, five films have been produced and exhibited.
