
This is a twenty-six week contract starting as early as May 3.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate all aspects of the project to overhaul QueerHistoryProject.com including:
- Collaborate with the Queer History Project Advisory Group
- Research web-based platforms and web log software
- Generate and develop new content
- Develop and implement an outreach plan to increase web traffic
- Coordinate and implement Vancouver Queer Film Festival marketing plan, including:
- Implement activities to increase audience attendance and participation
- Utilize various social media platforms; foster online audience participation; develop social media campaigns
- Coordinate e-marketing inititatives
- Forge relationships with electronic media
- Integrate QueerHistoryProject.com outreach activities with Vancouver Queer Film Festival outreach to promote both activities
Successful applicants will have, or obtain during the term:
- Outreach, communication and marketing skills
- Direct experience with web designers
- Experience with oral histories and/or community-based initiatives
