Marketing & Outreach Coordinator

This is a twenty-six week contract starting as early as May 3.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the project to overhaul QueerHistoryProject.com including:
    • Collaborate with the Queer History Project Advisory Group
    • Research web-based platforms and web log software
    • Generate and develop new content
    • Develop and implement an outreach plan to increase web traffic
  • Coordinate and implement Vancouver Queer Film Festival marketing plan, including:
    • Implement activities to increase audience attendance and participation
    • Utilize various social media platforms; foster online audience participation; develop social media campaigns
    • Coordinate e-marketing inititatives
    • Forge relationships with electronic media
  • Integrate QueerHistoryProject.com outreach activities with Vancouver Queer Film Festival outreach to promote both activities

Successful applicants will have, or obtain during the term:

  • Outreach, communication and marketing skills
  • Direct experience with web designers
  • Experience with oral histories and/or community-based initiatives
