Fucking Different Tel Aviv is the anticipated third installment of the Fucking Different series (the first made in New York, the second in Berlin). All three invite local queer artists to make a short sexualitythemed film with one condition: that the gay filmmakers produce a film depicting queer women’s sex and the lesbian filmmakers create a sexy men’s film.
This collaborative project (by directors Elad Zakai, Eran Koblik Kedar, Ricardo Rojstaczer, Eyal Bromberg, Sivan Levy, Hagai Ayad, Nir Ne’Eman, Yossi Brauman, Avital Barak, Sie Gal, November Wanderin, Galit Florentz, Yasmin Max, Hila Ben Baruch, Stephanie Abramovich, Anat Salomon and Yair Hochner) is much more than erotic eye candy. Each filmmaker boldly takes on a big issue—including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and subverting gender in a traditional society—to reveal a complex and compelling look at queer sexuality in Tel Aviv.
